Cherishabuls is a small CFA-registered cattery located in northwest suburban Chicago. My goal is to produce healthy kitties with sweet open expressions and wonderful dispositions that meet the CFA standard. We are a PKD-tested cattery.

Cherish Having shown cats for many years, when I made the commitment to begin a breeding program there was no question the cattery would be named after a wonderful little guy named Cherish and the himalayan was the breed I had chosen to work with. Cherish was my first pet himalayan and a beautiful flame point male with personality plus. He was my greeter at the door, loved to do your hair the moment you sat down. , and would stand in front of the door when you were ready to leave saying please don't go. To this day, himalayans and flame points are my passion.

Here at Cherishabuls my babies are raised under foot with plenty of love and attention from the moment they are born. The himalayans are a slow maturing breed and my pet kittens will remain with me until approximately 14-16 weeks. At this time they will have visited the vet for their health checkup, received all their kitten vaccines and leave home with a kitten pack to maintain good health in their new homes. The kittens are well socialized and all this and more helps to make their transition to their new home a less stressful time. Kittens and cats of any age bond to their owners!! I do require my pets to be spayed or neutered if not already done so at time of placement, have a written sales contract, offer a one year genetic health guarantee and will be here for you for the life of your pet.

Breeding cats is a very expensive hobby, many many hours of hard work, heart breaking at times but also can be very rewarding. One of the most rewarding experiences is matching my kittens to their new owners and hearing about how wonderful that new addition is to their family. Thank you to my wonderful parents and sister for all their love, support and comfort in some of the more difficult moments. Dad is always asking how many kittys will be coming home with me at Christmas and mom always has everything ready for them to make them feel at home. I am not so sure what she thinks of them cautiously walking amongst all her gorgeous Christmas decorations though. The kitties and I love you very much!!
